A dedication to Marci

My son arranged a birthday party for my daughter and myself at the Outback Steak House at Pines Island Road and Sunrise Blvd.  There would eventually be eleven of us to deal with but that is not why I am writing this.

This is to honor the young lady who waited on us.

I was not even vaguely aware the waitress had arrived at our table until I felt this warm hand on my shoulder.  It conveyed warmth and caring without me even seeing who had touched my shoulder.  I felt it all through my body.  As I looked around I saw a lovely face smiling at me.  It also conveyed caring and a joy that is hard to find these days.  You might say I was taken in by her charm or beauty, but you must remember I felt her touch before I knew what she looked like.  This touch was a caring that comes from within.  It cannot be manufactured or create it has to be part of the persons being.  It has to be genuine.

She relayed a caring not associated with her job but one that is real down to earth. Honest to the bone caring.

She even went the extra mile when my grand daughter came back to the table and started crying because she had missed singing Happy Birthday to me.  She went as far as to relight the candles and sang with the girls so happiness could return to them and peace to us.

She seemed to be everywhere at once and the evening was a delight.  An evening that I shall remember for as long as I live.

So thank you Marci for making our night out one that will live with us for a long time to come.

May the Lord bless you each and every day and make the light that shines in you burn brighter in every way.

So, if you are looking for the ideal night out stop by The Outback at Pines and Sunrise and do not forget to ask for Marci.
